About Zoe!
PYC Youth Sailing welcomes Zoe Anderson to our coaching team for summer 2025! Zoe is going into her Sophomore Year at Colby College in Waterville, Maine, and has spent her summers in Cumberland, Maine, since she can remember. Zoe grew up sailing at the Portland Yacht Club, beginning in Minows at age 6 and gaining experience in Prams, Optis, 420s, Larger Keel boats, and an introduction to racing. After being a student at Portland Yacht Club Junior Sailing for 7 years, she assisted the Adventure and Opti classes as an intern before becoming a coach in the Summer of 2022. Zoe served as the Opti beginner coach for the past three years and loved to inspire and encourage the next generation of sailors. Coming back for her fourth summer, Zoe has stepped into the Basic Youth Coordinator role, where she oversees the Pram, Opti Begginer, and Opti Intermediate classes. Zoe has loved working with all classes in what she believes is the heart of the Portland Yacht Club Junior Program. She looks forward to working with the Youth program and helping our amazing coaches feel supported and set up for success!
